Normal Skin

Skin that is well-balanced is generally referred to as “normal.” Healthy and radiant skin has a velvety, silky, smooth texture and good blood circulation. Although the T-zone (forehead, chin, and nose) is greasy, the skin is balanced in terms of sebum and moisture, and it is neither too oily nor too dry with no blemishes and fresh look.

Dry skin 

Dry skin is defined as skin that produces less sebum than normal skin. Due to a lack of sebum, dry skin lacks the lipids it needs to maintain moisture and build a protective layer against external stimuli. The barrier function is harmed as a result.

Dry skin – Mildly dry skin can feel tight, fragile, and itchy, as well as looking drab. The skin’s elasticity is also diminished.

Very Dry skin – The skin may develop the following conditions if the dryness is not addressed. It’s also more susceptible to irritants, redness, and infection risk.

Extremely dry skin – Roughness, chapping with a tendency to create regardless (cracks), calluses, scaling, and frequent itching are common in certain body parts, particularly the hands, feet, elbows, and knees.

Oily skin

A skin type that produces a lot of sebum is referred to as “oily.” Seborrhea is an ailment in which the body produces excessive amounts of oil. Genetics, hormonal changes and imbalances, medicine, stress, and comedogenic cosmetics are all factors that contribute to excessive sebum production. Oily skin is characterized by enlarged, plainly visible pores, a glossy sheen, and thicker, pale skin with hidden blood vessels. Oily skin is more prone to blackheads, whiteheads, and various types of acne.

Combination skin

The T-Zone (forehead, nose, and chin) of combination skin is oily, while the cheeks are dry. The oilier patches of mixed skin are caused by excessive sebum production. The drier parts of mixed skin are caused by a lack of sebum and the accompanying lipid shortage. Combination skin features an oily T-zone (forehead, chin, and nose), enlarged pores, and normal to dry cheeks.
